The CBA's sexual harassment prevention training session will better enable lawyers and law firm staff to prevent, combat and appropriately redress sexual harassment in the legal workplace, as well as understand the State of Illinois and City of Chicago’s requirements. The CBA’s training session meets the minimum requirements set forth by the State of Illinois (Illinois Public Act 1010-0221) and City of Chicago (Municipal Code of Chicago Section 6-10-040(b)(1)(C)(i)(a)) that all Illinois employers and employees must complete sexual harassment prevention training annually and is tailored to lawyers and other law firm staff.

Staff member participation at the program will be tracked through the CBA’s webcasting system and a list can be furnished upon request to cle@chicagobar.org. **Although the CBA will provide a sample certificate of completion, employer-participants, not CBA nor its volunteer trainers, are responsible for ensuring each of their employees satisfy the training requirements under applicable state law/municipal code** Please email cle@chicagobar.org to be provided a link to register additional staff members for the webinar. If an attorney wishes to receive IL MCLE credit for the program, they must individually register and attend the program.

We step away — whether to move to another job, for family or health or other reasons — and can come back to the same workplace or choose a new one, charting our course successfully…despite incurring the once-dreaded resume gap or taking the risk that our former job was our best job.
