Workshop: Ethics and Employment Law (2/8/23)

The world of employment law isn’t just one world – it’s several, and ethical conundrums can arise in many different contexts. There are litigation issues – multiple representations and conflicts, spoliation of evidence, uses of purloined documents. There are settlement issues: what information derived from your client are you allowed to use? How do you manage your client during negotiations? Don’t forget discovery issues: what do you do when you’re deposing a witness who’s being coached? Is that a situation in which you can threaten to report an opponent to the ARDC – or are there ever such situations? We’ll explore these issues and more with two rising employment litigators.
