This is a hybrid event with an in-person and a webinar option. Please select the appropriate button when registering if you plan to attend in-person. Event will take place at the Chicago Bar Association (321 S. Plymouth Court, Chicago, IL 60604).
At this program, participants will learn about leveraging key frameworks such as the ‘washing machine’ and ‘eight principles’ along with support research underpinning the advice. The speakers will discuss attributes of great JV formation processes, including the process and negotiation strategies that preserve Trust. They will also dispel key myths surrounding joint ventures -- such as more due diligence is better; the joint venture contract is make or break; weak advisors on the ‘other side’ is useful; and more. Focus will be on the role of advisors and processes that can both increase efficiency and deliver better client outcomes.
This program will leverage some key frameworks in the book Unlocking International Joint Ventures, discuss recent cases focused on managing the current situation, and provide an open and interactive discussion.
Speakers:
Dr. Alan MacCharles, Partner, Deloitte Consulting
Collin Starkweather, PhD, President, Starkweather Economics
