This CLE will examine the current legal landscape impacting women in Illinois, with a focus on recent legislative developments, litigation trends, and practical implications for attorneys. While Illinois is often viewed as a leader in protecting women’s rights, significant challenges remain in areas such as reproductive healthcare access, workplace equity, gender-based violence, family law, and intersectional discrimination. The panel will explore where Illinois stands compared to federal law and other states, how shifting national jurisprudence affects local practice, and what attorneys can do to protect and advance women’s rights across practice areas.
Speakers:
Amy S. Cramer, Cramer Law Group
Gail Eisenberg, Loftus and Eisenberg, NELA-Illinois President
Co-Sponsors: Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, Black Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater Chicago, and The Decalogue Society of Lawyers
