The Basics of CBA Legislative Advocacy (10/17/22)

This program is open to CBA members who are interested in getting involved with the CBA’s legislative process.

Would you like to know how you can play a role in crafting Illinois legislation that can have a meaningful impact on your practice area? The Chicago Bar Association offers opportunities for practitioners to draft, review and present legislation through our legislative program. Attend this seminar to learn more about this process, including the type of legislation that is typically proposed, how to gage its impact on your practice area, and how to present proposed legislation for review to the CBA’s Legislative Committee. You will be given an overview of the legislative process in Illinois and learn more about how you can contribute to the debate in Springfield by becoming a CBA Legislative Liaison.

Speakers:
Kevin Curran, Legislative Liaison, CBA Domestic Relations Committee
Noah Graf, Co-Chair, CBA Legislative Committee
Angela Inzano, Vice Chair, CBA Legislative Committee
