New Migrant Arrivals and Pro Bono Opportunities (10/25/23)

This is an in-person event to be held at The Chicago Bar Association, 321 S. Plymouth Court, Chicago, IL, 60604

Learn about the current state of the new arriving migrants nationally and in Chicago. Hear stories of people who have come to the U.S., learn about their available legal avenues for relief, and learn how you can get involved to help. This CLE will review recent updates to Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelans and cover the basics of asylum law; participants wishing to represent pro bono clients in asylum cases will be given information about how to obtain additional training.
