Description: As seen on ESPN’s 2024 E:60 episode “28 Outs: An Imperfect Story,” students at Monmouth University learned about the role of precedent in sports law, where Professor Lawrence Jones took undergraduates on a journey that led from Jim Joyce’s egregious “safe” call to the George Brett “pine tar game” all the way to the MLB Commissioner’s Office. Join Professor Jones and three students in a conversation moderated by WGN-9’s Josh Frydman, and hear from the students themselves what it was like to gain familiarity with principles of stare decisis and advocacy in this exciting and innovative way.
