Speaker: Edmon Oude Elferink, Partner, CMS
Edmon Oude Elferink is the head of the Antitrust, Competition & Trade Practice Area Group in the Netherlands for the international firm CMS. Edmon divides his professional time between Brussels and Amsterdam. His areas of expertise encompass competition law, State aid, and foreign direct investment (FDI). Edmon represents clients in proceedings before the European Commission, the Authority for Consumers & Markets and Dutch courts. His background includes serving as a référendaire (law clerk) at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. He studied law at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, and has his LLM in European Law from the Europa Institut, Universität des Saarlandes, Germany. Beyond his legal practice, Edmon holds several key positions within the legal community. He chairs the advisory committee on competition law of the Netherlands Bar and is a board member of the Dutch association for European law. Additionally, he is on the board of editors for the Dutch Journal of European Law.
