New technology—including AI—has the potential to transform the way IP lawyers manage their workflows. Automation using AI can help free up practitioners’ time currently spent handling tedious, repetitive, and time-consuming tasks, and instead allow them to focus on more substantive, meaningful, and rewarding aspects of their practices.
During this program, Nehal Madhani, CEO and founder of Alt Legal, will identify some of the key pain points in an IP lawyer’s workflow and he will then discuss the AI tools and other new and future potential technologies that may help alleviate these concerns. He’ll also focus on the ethical implications of incorporating AI technology into your practice and what you need to do to ensure that you are complying with all recommendations and guidelines.
Nehal Madhani is the founder and CEO of Alt Legal, a company that provides IP docketing software used by thousands of organizations to prepare, manage, and monitor millions of IP filings and deadlines every day. Before founding Alt Legal, Nehal practiced law at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He is actively involved in the trademark community, serving on the Trademark Public Advisory Committee of the United States Patent and Trademark Office and as vice-chair of the International Trademark Association’s Trademark Administrators Committee.
A self-taught Python/Django programmer, Nehal was also a CodeX fellow at Stanford Law School. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from Wharton School, and a B.A. from Northwestern University.
