Constitutional law scholars and professors, Tom Ginsburg and Aziz Huq, of the University of Chicago Law School, will join The Chicago Bar Association for an interactive discussion about their co-publications, “How to Lose a Constitutional Democracy” (UCLA Law Review Article, 2018), and “How to Save a Constitutional Democracy” (Book, 2018). They will discuss how the concepts in their book apply to current events and the state of democracy in the U.S. today. Our guests will discuss how lawyers can participate in the effort to maintain, preserve, cultivate and protect a robust democratic society capable of withstanding the challenges of the day and beyond. This program is co-sponsored the CBA Civics Committee and CBA Media Production Committee. Q&A with the audience will be welcome at the end of the presentation.
