Executive Security for Family Offices: Governance, Risk and Protection

This is an in-person program hosted at The Chicago Bar Association building (321 S. Plymouth Court, Chicago, IL 60604). Lunch will be provided.

Family offices, foundations, and trusts face evolving security risks tied to visibility, travel, and digital exposure. Former Fortune 500 security leaders discuss how executive protection programs are structured, governed, and evaluated to protect principals while considering legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.

We’ll examine:
▪ How executive security programs are structured for family offices, foundations, and ultra-high-net-worth families or individuals.
▪ The importance of an effective Threat Management process.
▪ Legal, tax, and governance considerations, including IRS Section 132 and the use of Independent Security Studies.
▪ Security planning related to private aviation, travel, residences, and public visibility.
