Domestic Violence Summit 2025 (10/30/25)

The program will take place in person at Union League Club (65 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60604) on October 30, 2025 from 9:00am-4:00pm. Lunch will be served, and the program will be followed by a networking reception from 4:00pm-5:00pm.

Join us for the 2025 Domestic Violence Summit which will bring together leading voices and advocates to address the urgent issue of domestic violence through dialogue and education. Keynote remarks will be delivered by Tony Porter, renowned author, educator, activist, and CEO of A Call to Men, and Ambassador Rahm Emanuel, former Mayor of Chicago, U.S. Congressman, Ambassador to Japan, and White House Chief of Staff. 

The summit will feature a series of impactful panels, including A Gentlemen’s Conversation: Our Role in Breaking the Cycle of Domestic Violence, Media Matters – Ethical Reporting on Domestic Violence, and Behind the Bruises – Medical Realities of Survivors in the Courtroom. Additional sessions will explore the legal framework through Inside the Illinois Domestic Violence Act (IDVA), the psychological dynamics of abuse in Understanding the Psychology of Abuse, and next steps in Action & Accountability – What Now?. This gathering will foster critical conversations and a call to action to support survivors and dismantle the systems that perpetuate abuse.
