Disrupting the Trade: A Legal Summit on Human Trafficking Prevention (6/12/25)

Join The Chicago Bar Association’s Committee on Anti-Human Trafficking for a legal summit focused how to disrupt the trade of human trafficking. Speakers will discuss prosecution and law enforcement approaches to combatting human trafficking, as well as legal remedies, and immigration relief for survivors. A survivor will then share her personal account of resilience, justice, and path to healing. The program will conclude with an interactive dialogue on next steps in legal advocacy, policy reform, and survivor-centered community engagement. Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart and Chief Judge Virginia M. Kendall of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois will be recognized for their long-standing contributions to the effort to combat human trafficking.
