College Admissions: Help Your Future College Student Find Success
Applying to college has gotten more competitive and more confusing, and most parents end up figuring it out as they go. This session walks through what the process actually looks like and where families still have room to make good decisions.
Topics include when to start and what to focus on each year of high school, how to build a balanced list of reach, target and safety schools, how to use a college's Common Data Set to see what a school really weighs in admissions, what to look for on a campus visit, the differences between early decision, early action, restrictive early action and rolling admission, and how to figure out what a school will actually cost after financial aid.
Speaker:
Jeng Chiu, JD, CFP, Vice President, Advanced Markets, Allianz Life Financial Services, LLC (member FINRA)
This is educational, not a sales presentation. Open to members who are parents or grandparents going through the process. No MCLE credit.
