Changing Laws of LGBTQ+ Family Rights and Surrogacy (4/18/24)

The future of LGBTQ+ family rights and surrogacy options seem more and more uncertain these days. With the reversal of Roe vs. Wade and the recent Alabama Supreme Court case ruling embryos are people, IVF and surrogacy are now on everyone’s radar. This panel will discuss the changing legal landscape surrounding these issues and how LGBTQ+ families can protect themselves.

This program is co-sponsored with CBA LGBTQ+ Committee.

Panelists:
Nidhi Desai (she/her/hers), Desai & Miller
Amira Hasenbush, All Family Legal, PC
Nesta N. Johnson (she/her/hers), National Center for Lesbian Rights

Moderator:
Skip Harsch (he/him/his), Director, SOGI Commission, American Bar Association
