Topic: Tribal Law Issues in Business Transaction
Speaker: Stephen S. Mathis, Partner, PrayWalker
Description: Tribal law issues may not arise often in Chicago, but clients and deals can carry attorneys into tribal jurisdictions where they do. This presentation will provide a practical primer on tribal jurisdiction and the challenges that commonly surface in transactions involving tribes or tribal courts. Our speaker Stephen S. Mathis a partner at PrayWalker in Tulsa, brings deep experience representing both tribes and businesses in these matters. Attendees will leave better equipped to spot issues early and guide clients when tribal law intersects with their deals or clients.
