Description: The program will discuss:
• How do we ensure that the parties are at the mediation with reasonable expectations and appropriate settlement authority?
• How can we create a mediation process for the particular dispute that allows the parties and the mediator (and insurance companies) to engage in critical risk analysis before and at the mediation?

Speaker Biography: Mr. Shapiro is the principal of Shapiro Dispute Resolution LLC. He is a Chicago-based national arbitrator and mediator who has more than 37 years of experience resolving construction disputes and insurance claims, including 23 years as the leader of construction law practice groups at nationally prominent law firms.
