Adoption Law Committee (05/10/22)

TOPIC: Client Centered Language for Affirming Environments Training

Description: Using client centered language is so important in establishing trust and creating safe spaces for clients. This training will go over using gender affirming language, the use of pronouns, and how to do a non-gendered client intake. The world of family building and adoption can be so gendered and heteronormative, and the use of affirming language is a great start to making this space more welcoming for LGBTQ+ folks, single parents, and non-traditional families.
