The Impact of COVID-19 on Labor Law (04/26/2021)
Includes a Live Event on 04-26-2021 at 3:00 PM (CDT)
This program is brought to you as a part of the CBA’s COVID-19 Recovery Committee series. A year ago unions and employers would have been shocked to learn that arbitration, negotiations and representation hearings would be by videoconference, and masks, social distancing and vaccinations would be hot bargaining topics. In this program, we’ll explore key areas of labor law impacted by the pandemic from a variety of perspectives and areas of expertise. Included in this discussion will be bargaining obligations over various COVID issues (rifs, quarantine, sick leave, safety issues, vaccinations), bargaining remotely, arbitrating and handling NLRB proceedings in a COVID environment, and what comes after.
Brandon Anderson, Jacobs, Burns, Orlove & Hernandez
Steven Briggs, Arbitrator
Karla Sanchez, Partner, Seyfarth Shaw
Moderator: Ron Kramer, Partner Seyfarth Shaw
