The legal field has a shared responsibility to support diversity, equity and inclusion. One area that can benefit from increased diversity is Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). ADR provides an opportunity for parties to select their decision maker and resolve matters in a faster and more flexible manner. However, without diverse attorneys willing to train and serve as arbitrators and mediators, the opportunity is lost.
Attendees will hear from current diverse arbitrators and mediators about their path to becoming ADR professionals and the need for more diverse attorneys to consider careers in ADR.
This is an important event for all who may be interested in becoming a mediator or arbitrator. More importantly, law firm managing partners, supervisors, and mentors are encouraged to attend and learn about the important role they play in supporting diverse attorneys in becoming ADR professionals.
