Promoting Personal and Professional Wellness (10/19/2021)
Work stress seems to be inevitable in the practice of law. Terms like burnout, stress and anxiety are commonplace and often used interchangeably. But what do these terms really mean and what do we do when we experience them? Although some stress may be unavoidable, how can we learn to better manage it without risking personal and professional burnout?
This program will help you develop a toolbox of coping strategies to promote wellbeing and personal growth as you navigate a challenging career. We will focus on empowering you with the skills to recognize when you’re experiencing stress and burnout and then work to reduce them. The discussion will also explore the unique challenges of working remotely, as well as practical ways to redefine work/life balance during a time of frequent change and uncertainty.
