Not Your Grandparents' Diversity & Inclusion: Anti-Racism/Colonialism, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging in the Practice of Law For A New Era (01/20/22)

This CLE will unpack several ARCDEIB (anti-racism/colonialism, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging)  and ethics in the legal profession and industry. With the increasingly more state bar commissions (Illinois being one of them) and the ABA requiring education and continuing legal education on DEI in the legal profession, it is important attorneys understand the dimensions of DEI in the practice and how it relates to our professional responsibility and ethics.

Topics Include:
Engaging in an overview of dimensions of DEI for the Whole Lawyer
Unpacking key concepts to live inclusive lawyering
Understanding what inclusion is and, more importantly, what it is not
Exploring how anti-racism can be embodied in the profession
