Interactive Workshop on the Use of Remote Expert Witness - Part 2 (4/7/2021)
Includes a Live Event on 04/07/2021 at 3:00 PM (CDT)
The Illinois Supreme Court rules now provide that expert (and other) testimony can be heard remotely, which can save time, money for litigants and is more convenient for all involved. The Forensic Expert Witnesses Association (FEWA) and The Chicago Bar Association (CBA) have joined forces to offer a 2-part series which will provide guidance for Illinois judges and attorneys alike in determining how expert testimony should be conducted and regulated. Expert testimony in jury trials will be the focus of this second installment of the series.
The program will consist of a series of live demonstrations by experts and the following respected Judges: Alison Conlon, Thomas More Donnelly, Patrick Sherlock and Sanjay Tailor who will be the trial litigators. All participants, including members of the bench, the bar and the expert community, will be allowed to make assessments in real time. Bench and Bar audience members will then have an opportunity to share and receive feedback from participating judges, experts and litigators, during an interactive session following the demonstrations to determine the most effective and compelling best practices.
Current and retired members of the Judiciary are complimentary. Please RSVP to Jennifer Byrne at email@example.com.
