Data analytics are an essential tool in anyone’s arsenal throughout eDiscovery. In this seminar, we’ll explore how you can utilize these tools to make your discovery processed more efficient and effective from start to finish. You will learn what the current court and ethical rules are surrounding the usage of analytics and TAR. Then we will discuss proportionality and how you can prepare for discovery meet and confers and ESI conferences using analytics. Finally, you will learn about the various data analytical tools, such as keyword expansion, finding similar documents, concept searching, clustering, textual near duplicates, email threading, and active learning. You will learn how you can effectively utilize each tool at various points in your case and the benefits they can provide. Through understanding the current rules, how the tools work, and how and where you can leverage them, you will be able to save not only save time, but money.

Speakers:
Amanda Cook is a detail-oriented eDiscovery practitioner who has worked in all stages of the EDRM life cycle. Amanda is a passionate advocate for the use of electronic discovery to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Amanda's consultative and customized approach to client service has helped her clients achieve successful and cost-effective outcomes. Amanda is also fluent in translating technical jargon to legalese to plain English and back again.

Lia Majid founded Acorn Legal Solutions through the acquisition of the eDiscovery operations of Elijah Ltd in 2017. An industry outsider, Lia brought rigorous project management techniques to Acorn, similar to those used in the aerospace industry, which significantly improve client outcomes. Prior to Acorn, Lia was a Sr. Project Engineer at Parker Hannifin. She has an MBA from Kellogg University and Electrical Engineering and Mathematics degrees from Case Western Reserve University.
