Human trafficking survivors have various civil remedies for the damages caused by traffickers and/or third party entities who may have gained financial benefit from trafficking operations. Hear from experts in the field about the different types of civil remedies available to trafficking survivors both in Illinois and in federal court, the considerations that should be made when bringing such suits, the applicable statutes of limitation, the specific remedies to which survivors of trafficking are entitled, the protections available to survivors who bring civil suits, and the current trends in anti-trafficking work in Illinois.
