Bankruptcy and Reorganization, Commercial Litigation, Residential Real Property Law Committees (11/15/22)

TOPIC: The Continuum: Incivility to Harassment and Solutions

The elimination of harassment in the workplace—including its prevalence in the legal profession—requires not only a systematic approach, but a comprehensive one. Law firms and organizations must recognize that harassment is part of a continuum of interconnected behaviors that range from gender bias to incivility to legally actionable assault. All kinds of misconduct should be called-out and addressed to impact the organization’s culture and make permanent change. Learn how uncivil behaviors may lead to harassment in the legal profession, how to identify the prevalence of incivility and bullying, and how to develop strategies to mitigate the effects of these behaviors.
