Business Divorce and Complex Ownership Disputes Committee (5/14/24)

TOPIC: Some of the most complex and contentious business divorces matters arise out of a marriage dissolution as the spouses struggle over either or both the control and economic interest in the “family business.” A roundtable of business and family law lawyers will discuss the transactional and litigation intrigue involved in the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt infighting over the Chateau Miraval winery in France.  A slew of fascinating issues arising out of the winery ownership and entity documents, and the explosive nature of their breakup, have led to a number of creative litigation claims to avoid the consequences of in artfully drafted documents.
