Alliance for Women Committee and Girl Scout Law Track (4/15/24)

Diversity is about more than differences in race, gender, sexual orientation, and ethnicity. It is about inviting an array of ideas, experiences, and perspectives into our places of work. In the private and public sectors, leaders are grappling with unprecedented disruption as well as judicial and legislative challenges resulting in a greater need for agile, equitable cultures that institutionalize change. Please join Paula Burke, Michelle Speller-Thurman, Sandra Yamate and Alan York for a moderated panel discussing the aftermath of the Students for Fair Admissions Supreme Court case, challenges facing DEI initiatives in all sectors, and how employers can prioritize DEI while mitigating legal risks.

SPEAKERS/ORGANIZATIONS:
Michelle Speller-Thurman, Vice President, Legal Head, Mergers & Acquisitions, Licensing and Corporate Securities for Organon (a publicly-traded global pharmaceutical company).
Sandra Yamate, CEO of The Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession AND a former Girl Scout
R. Alan York, Global DEI Chair and Partner at Reed Smith
Paula Burke, JD, MS, Consulting Senior Associate and Employee and Labor Relations Lead at Huron
